We start by getting an understanding for the sound you’re going for. We then track the record, either live as a full band, or separately in layers. We mix the recording to your preferences (with guidance for getting the best sound), and you leave with a new record that you’re super proud of.

As a musician playing professionally in New Orleans since 1983, I have experience as a bandleader, sideman and songwriter. I believe you deserve someone who’s prepared, who will hear your needs and guide you through the process of making a great sounding record.
To do that, we’ll develop a plan. We’ll talk first about the sound you’re going for, and organize the sessions so that you can make a great recording, efficiently, while staying within your budget.
Knowing as much as I can about your band’s setup will allow me to prepare ahead of time, and have the studio set up so we’re not wasting time when you arrive. We can get right to work making a record you’ll love.
