Clint Kaufmann (musician, songwriter and nutcase) has been in Blue Velvet Studio NOLA working on a new EP. Tom Stern is producing and engineering. James Clark (Nola County, Gal Holiday) has contributed some rock solid drumming, Jeff Benninato (The dBs) is laying down the bottom end on the Fender Bass, and Casey McAllister (Hurray for the Rif Raff, The Special Men) has contributed keyboard parts. The recordings also feature Stephen Kennedy on guitar, and DC Harbold and Kelcy Mae on background vocals.
Clint Kaufmann is a folksy singer/songwriter who resides in Metairie, Louisiana. Fans of Johnny Cash and John Prine would be quite comfortable in his lyrics-centered, porch-friendly catalog. He sings in plain–sometimes blunt–language about topics including love, sorrow, sex, addiction, and God. Narcissism, desperation, hope, romance, and sophomoric humor carry listeners deep into ruminations and stories. He plays The Neutral Ground Coffee House (5110 Danneel St), in uptown New Orleans, on the third Saturday of every month.
Checkout Clint’s last release, All I Know, also recorded here at Blue Velvet Studio NOLA. Its available at Louisiana Music Factory, Euclid Records and other fine music retailers.
