World traveling singer songwriter Amelia Ray stopped in Blue Velvet NOLA to cut her song tentatively titled “Julia”. Jeff Benninato produced the session for Three Crane Productions.
Amelia is a California native who has taken her original rockin’ soul music to Iceland, Senegal and many cities and festivals across Europe. She is currently based out of Madrid. Her eighth album, Scenes from an Icelandic Novel, based on Gunnar Gunnarsson’s The Black Cliffs, will be released in 2015. Amelia was in town checking out Jazz Fest before heading to dates in Memphis, Nashville, and Kansas City. While in New Orleans she also sat in at Buffas Lounge
