Homegrown in New Orleans, The Fake Carls play an eclectic melting pot of music as diverse as the city they’ve come to call home. A Bluesy vocalist with singer-songwriter worthy lyrics meets electrifying guitar riffs and Jazzy trumpet lines for a melody that gets even the stiffest of bodies shaking!
Coming together in dedication to their good friend Carl, co-founders Steve Panacek and Julie Wischan began writing and performing as an acoustic duo in 2011. After gradually adding bassist Caleb Gallops, drummer Sean Lemkey and trumpet player James Gillum, they finally felt as if their compositions had reached their full potential.
The Carls are continuing to write ear-catching original tunes and are releasing new material constantly.
